THIRUVENKATA CHARI MUGUNTHAN (T MUGUNTHAN / T M CHARI) is a Director of Nutriwiz Global Advisory Services. He works in areas like Projects Management, Manufacturing Solutions, New Products Development, People Empowerment etc. which are too dear to him.

Most of the MSME Customers need help in this front on account of growing challenges in business environment. Prior to assuming this responsibility with Nutriwiz, T M Chari was working with a conglomerate in Myanmar for setting up and commissioning a green field Confectionery Project conceived and collaborated with a Japanese MNC.

He had played key role in this project in areas like Designing & Developing factory lay out, Machinery Selection, coordinating with local and overseas suppliers, project time line management, value analysis and cost control.

He also played pioneering role in the development of various formulations, pilot plant trials, market research and fine tuning of formulations to local taste as well as in selection of vendors etc. On successful commissioning and trials the products were manufactured under his direct watchful eyes. He was active in developing and training suitable second in command using local talent pool. T M Chari had earlier commissioned a biscuit factory for UniBisc in Antananarivo, Madagascar wherein new biscuit line and wafer line were commissioned.

Old lines were relocated and recommissioned adhering to strict time frame. T M Chari had the fortune of working with some of the FMCG food giants like Britannia, Cadburys, Sara Lee Bakery India, Nutrine, Cremica in India in functions like Quality Standards, R&D, Third Party Operations, Manufacturing & Operations etc. in various capacities. He has had overseas stints with Universal Industries Ltd, Malawi, Central Africa, URC Thailand (Jack n Jill Brands), UniBisc, Antananarivo, Madagascar. T M Chari is a qualified Dairy Technologist from NDRI with additional qualifications in areas like SQC & OR (Indian Statistical Institute), Materials Management (Indian Institute of Materials Management, Mumbai) and MHRM from Annamalai University.

He has hands on experience in fields like bakery – biscuits, cookies, confectionery, snacks like – Baked, extruded, potato chips etc. Apart from taking keen interest in New Product Development in food factories he is also keenly interested in Training the Trainers, Small Group Activities, Team Building, Quality Circles, Kaizen and TQM concepts which are found to enhance Operational Efficiencies in factories leading to Manufacturing Excellence. T M Chari is a polyglot who can converse freely in most of the Indian languages and a few foreign languages which is his strength to reach out to people across hierarchy.
