Rajeev Bhanawat is a director in Nutriwiz Global Advisory Services. He is one of the major leads for the Business Development & Supply Chain. He brings with him 35+ years of rich corporate experience in Food Industry especially Dairy and organized retailing of perishable categories – milk & milk products and fresh fruit & vegetables.
He is a graduate in Dairy Technology from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana and Post Graduate in Business Administration from R.A. Podar Institute of Management. He completed an Advance Marketing Certificate Course from Cranefield University, U.K At the onset of his professional career in the Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation he was made responsible for the sales & marketing of “SARAS” brand of Milk & Milk Products.
He played key role in turnaround of Jaipur Dairy from a loss-making milk union to a profitable organization provided a strong foundation for it to be the most successful amongst all milk cooperative unions of the state. He joined apex organization of cooperative organization National Dairy Development and was entrusted responsibility of market development for related milk cooperatives.
In this role he was responsible for devising and implementation of unique common identity i.e. mnemonic symbol for milk cooperatives. During this tenure he also spearheaded turnaround intervention plan of NDDB for many other milk unions. From NDDB he moved to a National Role in Mother Dairy, Delhi to head milk SBU.
During this tenure, not only he consolidated NCR market but also successfully launch the Mother Dairy Milk Brand in highly competitive markets like Mumbai, Hyderabad and Gujarat. In pursuit of expanding the experience of fresh milk to larger fresh categories – Fruits & Vegetables he joined Aditya Birla Retail business.
He was instrumental in setting up and managing entire supply chain from “Farm to Fork” for Fruits & Vegetables besides building the dairy category business He recently retired from Parag Milk Foods (Gowardhan/Go Brand) after serving for about 8+ years. He headed Fresh product division of Parag Milk Foods and is credited with expanding milk and other fresh product business to new territories and consolidating its presence in its core market (Maharashtra).
As a part of special assignment/study group has visited UK, Netherland, Uganda etc to study dairy industry. He has also been associated with CII as Co Chairman of Urban – Rural Connect Committee of Maharashtra and member of Western region.
