Dr Hari Ram Gupta

Dr Hari Ram Gupta, did his graduation (B.Tech), post-graduation (M. Tech) from NDRI, Karnal and PhD in Dairy Science and Technology from IGNOU, Delhi. Known to his friends as “Dr. Harry” after 38 years in NDRI he retired as Officer In-Charge of Experimental Dairy (2015-2019), NDRI he started his own Start-ups, named it as,” Dr. Harry Dairy and Allied Consultancy Services” and Dr Harry Nutrition International Healthcare.

His keen interest in research and development led him to develop many when based products such as Cocoa and Whey Protein Enriched Functional Dairy Drink, Whey Protein Khoya Burfi, Whey Protein Lassi, Whey Protein Flavoured Milk, Whey Protein Tilla Kulfi, Whey Protein Bar, Whey Based Beverages and Sweet Whey Lassi and become famous in the dairy and food industries.

He has published 19 National & International Research Papers, 18 Technical /popular articles, 2 Book chapters, 1Poster presentation, and wrote a book titled “Whey Protein & Cocoa Enriched Functional Beverages” published by LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing, Germany, named as.

He was a member of the team that developed “Low Cholesterol Ghee” making process and transfer of technology to the dairy sector. He also provided guidance for the project of making A1 cow milk powder in Experimental Dairy.

He is a life member of “Indian Dairy Association”, “Dairy Technology Society of India”, and “NDRI Graduates Association.” He established the Milk Processing Plant at NRCIF, Motihar (Bihar), costing Rs. 14 Million.

He was awarded “Unnat Bharat Sewashri Ratan” by Rashtriya Patarkar Sangadhan and Rashtriya Kissan Sangadhan on August, 17, 2017 at Constitution Club, New Delhi and “LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENTS AWARD” by Rashtriya Patarkar Sangadhan and Rashtriya Kissan Sangadhan on August, 19, 2018 at Constitution Club, New Delhi for his outstanding contribution to dairy industry.
